The Akrapovič Evolution Line is a complete exhaust system for BMW’s M 1000 and S 1000 families. Developed for racing, it is designed to increase engine performance while reducing the weight of the system.
The distinctive silencer has an embossed detail running along its body and blending into a hand-crafted carbon-fibre end cap. The carbon heat shield shown in the manufacturer’s image is optional and is not part of the system.
- Material: made entirely from titanium.
- Power: increase of up to 8.5 CV (6.3 kW) at 6,750 rpm, measured by Akrapovič on the motorcycle in its product data.
- Torque: increase of up to 9.4 Nm at 6,650 rpm in the same test.
- Weight: 4.1 kg versus 10.8 kg for the standard exhaust on the tested motorcycle; 62% less.
- Installation: approximately 180 minutes.
- Included bracket: carbon-fibre silencer bracket for fitting when the passenger footrests are removed.
- Noise insert: no dB killer is included.
Performance and weight figures may vary by motorcycle. Akrapovič recommends ECU remapping for throttle response, performance and durability; this exhaust is not approved for road use and does not meet emissions requirements for use on public roads.
