The optional Akrapovič header for the 2017-2019 Kawasaki Z 900 turns a compatible Slip-On Line exhaust into a complete racing system. It enhances performance and gives the exhaust a sharper racing sound.
Akrapovič developed and tested it on an EU-specification motorcycle. Fitment and performance may differ on motorcycles built for other markets.
- Material: stainless steel.
- Power: maximum gain of +9 hp (+6.6 kW) at 10,100 rpm on the test motorcycle.
- Torque: maximum gain of +5.6 Nm at 9,150 rpm on the same motorcycle.
- Measured system weight: 3.38 kg versus 8.15 kg for the standard exhaust, a reduction of 58.5%.
- Fitting time: approximately 60 minutes.
- Noise reducer: no dB killer.
It does not fit the A2 version. The header is not road approved and does not meet emission requirements for street or highway use.
