GIVI Skid Plates

A Givi sump guard, also called a skid plate or bash plate, is a plate that bolts under the engine to shield it from stones thrown up by the wheel, knocks against rocks or kerbs and scrapes when you ride over an obstacle. It protects the underside of an adventure bike, the part that crash bars do not reach.

Which bikes they fit

Almost all are aluminium and made for adventure bikes: the 2019-2020 Ténéré 700, F 650, 700 and 800 GS, F 750, 850 and 900 GS, R 1300 GS (in black aluminium), XL 750 Transalp, CRF 300 L, 390 Adventure, DL 650 V-Strom and XT 1200Z Super Ténéré. Those for the V-Strom 800SE and the GSX-8S, the only naked bike on the list, are black.

With crash bars, centre stand and exhaust

A sump guard and crash bars complement each other: the first protects from below and the second from the sides. On the Transalp 750, for example, the RP1201 sump guard and the TN1201 Givi crash bars are made for the same bike. It is worth confirming on the product page that it is compatible with the centre stand and with your exhaust, especially if it is not the stock one.

To see crash bars from other brands for your bike, go to motorcycle crash bars, while Givi's other protection and luggage is gathered under Givi.
