Highsider Turn Signals

Highsider turn signals (indicators) are universal bulb and LED units, from minis to classic bullet shapes, with models that have a built-in position light, sequential ones and versions for fairing, handlebar or bar-end mounting. They are for replacing the big stock ones or for giving a custom its period look.

Five families in the range

• Universal bulb indicators, 10 W or Custom type, in black or chrome with an amber or clear lens, and with a short or long stem depending on the version. Some are sold by side: front right and rear left, or front left and rear right.
• Bullet and classic style: Bullet, Micro-Bullet, Old School, Ochsenauge or Arizona Mini, in chrome or black with an amber lens, for bobbers, scramblers and customs.
• Mini LEDs: Cateye, Rock, Peak, Blaze, Akron-X or Sonic-X, with a smoked or clear lens.
• 2-in-1, with the indicator and the position light in one unit: Apollo, Ton, Spark, Fineline or Pen Head Double.
• Sequential ones, such as the Slim Hammer, Run, Sora or STS 1, whose LEDs light one after another in the direction of the turn.

How to choose yours

Start with where it goes: on the fork or the handlebar, in the opening of a fairing or on the tail. The Highsider turn signal mounts take care of fork diameters, mounting plates and extenders, and you will see that several use an M8 thread, the one on the indicator stem.

Then comes the electronics. An LED draws far less current than a bulb, and the bike may read that as a fault and speed up the flashing: a relay for LEDs or resistors put it right, and you will find them in the Highsider relays and resistors. Approval and the minimum spacing between indicators are explained in our guide to motorcycle turn signals. And to see the complete brand, head to the Highsider page.
