IXIL MXT Exhausts

IXIL MXT exhausts (Mega Xtrem) are IXIL's line for adventure and trail bikes: a satin stainless steel body and an asymmetric end cap in black-lacquered aluminium. It is a compact silencer that takes weight off the back of bikes that usually travel loaded, and gives them a fuller sound without losing their touring character.

An exhaust for covering miles

On a touring adventure bike you spend hours at a steady speed on the motorway, and an overly open silencer becomes tiring. Always run the MXT with its dB killer: as well as being what road approval requires, it keeps a deep tone at idle and mid revs without a constant drone inside your helmet. If you ride gravel tracks, check the clamps and bracket every now and then, as they take more punishment from off-road vibration.

Bikes with an MXT

• Big adventure bikes: BMW R 1200 GS 2016-2018 and R 1250 GS, Honda Africa Twin 1000 and 1100, KTM 1090, 1190 and 1290 Adventure, Triumph Tiger 1200 2012-2022 and Suzuki V-Strom 1000 and 1050.
• Mid-size: Yamaha Ténéré 700 2019-2024 and World Raid, Honda Transalp 750 (one part number for 2023-2024 and another for 2025-2026), Triumph Tiger 850 Sport and 900 2020-2023, V-Strom 650 and Moto Guzzi V85 TT.
• Emerging brands: Benelli TRK 502 X and TRK 702, Voge 650 DS and DSX, QJMOTOR SRT 800 and Macbor Montana XR5.

For the latest generation of some of these bikes, such as the 2025-2026 Ténéré 700, the part number sits in the Rally line. If you ride a 390 or 890 Adventure or a Transalp, compare with IXIL RC silencers too, which have a racier look. Every range is under IXIL, and the basics of slip-ons and full systems are in motorcycle exhausts.
