MIVV Oval Exhausts

MIVV Oval exhausts take their name from the oval section of the silencer, the classic shape of an aftermarket exhaust, which MIVV has adapted to more bikes than any other line in its range. If your bike has a few years on it, or comes from a brand few exhaust makers cater for, the Oval is the first MIVV line worth checking.

Four finishes

• Brushed or satin stainless steel: the most understated, and the one with the most part numbers for older bikes.
• Carbon: the most common finish in the list, from the CBR 600 F to the S 1000 XR.
• Titanium: with part numbers for the GS, Tiger and Tracer families or the NT1100, plus one in black titanium for the Ténéré 700.
• Black: steel with a dark satin finish that MIVV calls Black Satin and a carbon end cap, on recent models such as the Voge Valico 900 DSX, CFMOTO 650MT or SYM ADX TG 400.

From the nineties to today

The Oval runs from the 1991 CBR 600 F, the ZX-7R, the XRV 750 Africa Twin or the first YZF-R1 to the Voge Valico 525 and 900 DSX, the QJMOTOR SRT 800, the Kove 800 X or the 2023-2026 Transalp 750. In between:

• Adventure: R 1150, 1200 and 1250 GS, F 650, 700 and 800 GS, Ténéré 700, XT 660, V-Strom, Versys 650 and 1000, Tiger 800, 900 and 1050, KTM 390, 790 and 890 Adventure, Benelli TRK 251, 502 and 702X and Himalayan.

Oval, Speed Edge or Dakar on an adventure bike

On many adventure bikes MIVV offers all three, and the difference is shape and use: the Oval is the classic-looking silencer, the Speed Edge has a hexagonal profile and a more modern feel, and the Dakar is designed to leave the tarmac behind. On recent Euro 5 models such as the Versys 650, the Ninja 650 or the 2021-2024 Tracer 900, the Oval becomes road-legal with the catalyst named on its page, available among the MIVV catalysts.
