Motorcycle kickstand extensions

A kickstand extension enlarges the foot of the side stand so it does not dig in when you park on soil, grass, gravel or tarmac the sun has softened, leaving the bike on the ground. This section has the Puig and Givi versions, each one made for a model or a family of models.

Puig or Givi: how far each one reaches

Both cover the most common adventure bikes: the R 1200, 1250 and 1300 GS, BMW's F GS models, the Africa Twin, the Ténéré 700, the V-Strom 650 or the Tiger 900. Beyond that, each brand has its own ground:

• Puig goes beyond adventure bikes: nakeds and sports tourers such as Kawasaki's Z and Ninja models, the MT-09, the Hornets, the F 900 R and XR or the R 1300 R and RS, plus recent models from Voge, Zontes, CFMOTO and Triumph's 400 cc bikes.
• Givi sticks to touring and reaches bikes Puig does not cover, such as the Tuareg 660, the V85 TT and Stelvio, the Himalayan, the X-Cape 649, the CRF 300 L, the NX 500, the R 1250 RT or the S 1000 XR.

If your bike appears in both, go by the shape and finish you see in the photos.

Getting the part number right

• Search by bike and years. When a name says "varios modelos de Honda" or "de Yamaha" (several Honda or Yamaha models), those bikes share the same stand foot, and the product page carries the full list.
• Watch out for generation changes: the Africa Twin CRF1000L and the 2020-on CRF1100L take different extensions from both brands.
• Fixed or loose: there are pucks you carry in a pocket and slip under the stand when you park. A bolted extension cannot be forgotten or lost, and it is there exactly when the ground gives way.
• If you are torn between two part numbers for the same bike, ask us on the chat before ordering.

To choose from each brand's photos, go to the Puig extensions or the Givi side stand extensions. And if you also want to lift the rear wheel to lube the chain, many of these adventure bikes can take a centre stand. Everything else is under motorcycle accessories.
