Accessories for the BMW F 800 R

The BMW F 800 R suits weekday commuting as well as weekend rides on winding roads. As a naked bike, it calls for a different approach depending on where you spend most of your time: protection and riding comfort matter around town, while a screen becomes more useful on longer trips.

What riders usually fit to the BMW F 800 R

• Screens: leaving town for the open road means more wind against your upper body on a naked bike. A screen helps reduce that pressure, making it a useful addition when your F 800 R rides include longer motorway stretches.
• Protectors: everyday use brings tight parking spaces and low-speed manoeuvres. Protectors help limit damage to the areas they cover in a slow-speed fall, making them a practical priority for an F 800 R used for commuting.
• Handlebar accessories and levers: frequent braking and direction changes put the focus on your hands when riding through town. These parts help tailor the riding position and controls, with comfort in mind for both the daily journey and longer outings.
• Footrests: foot support matters when positioning yourself through a series of bends, but also when settling in for a longer ride. For this road-going naked, consider your touring comfort alongside the way you sit during more active riding.
• Phone mounts: navigation is useful when switching between unfamiliar city streets and weekend routes. A mount keeps directions visible without stopping to retrieve your phone; set your destination before moving off so you can concentrate on the road.

Choosing parts for your F 800 R's year

The F 800 R has changed over the years, so the 2009, 2010, 2011-2014 and 2015-2019 versions do not always take the same parts. Screens, protectors and handlebar accessories are examples of items that vary. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your particular F 800 R.
