Accessories for the BMW K 1200 S

The BMW K 1200 S brings a sporting approach to road riding without making every outing a short one. Its sport-touring character makes wind protection, luggage and comfort at the controls worth considering alongside appearance. For 2004–2008 bikes, the accessories here cater for different riding routines, whether yours centres on winding roads, longer touring days or everyday journeys.

What riders usually fit to the BMW K 1200 S

• Screens: Motorway stretches on the way to quieter roads put wind protection high on the list. On the K 1200 S, it makes sense to balance coverage for longer journeys with a clear view ahead when you lean into a more tucked riding position.
• Protectors: Touring also involves parking, manoeuvring and unfamiliar stopping places. Protectors help reduce damage to the areas they cover in a fall, making them useful for riders whose K 1200 S sees both long road trips and regular everyday use.
• Luggage: Multi-day rides call for somewhere to carry clothes and essentials without keeping everything in a rucksack. When touring with a pillion, think about luggage space and passenger room together so that carrying more does not compromise their seating position.
• Levers: Winding roads mean repeated use of the brake and clutch. Lever shape affects how your fingers rest on the controls, making this a relevant detail for sporty road riding as well as long days spent riding in gloves.
• Fasteners: On a faired sports tourer, visible fixings contribute to the overall finish. Replacement fasteners offer a way to refresh those details when tidying up your K 1200 S, rather than making a more substantial change to its sporting appearance.
