Accessories for the CFMOTO 800MT Explore

Long road journeys and weekends away are natural territory for the CFMOTO 800MT Explore, an adventure tourer whose usual role puts comfort and carrying capacity high on the list. The most useful additions depend on how you travel: motorway miles bring wind protection into focus, while a pillion and an overnight stop make luggage space more important than cosmetic changes.

What riders usually fit to the CFMOTO 800MT Explore

• Windscreens: On a touring route, the motorway sections can mean sustained exposure to the wind before you reach the quieter roads. Screen height and shape affect where the airflow meets you, so your height and normal seated position matter more than simply choosing the tallest option.
• Panniers: Clothing and overnight essentials need a home on a multi-day trip, particularly with a pillion sharing the luggage space. Panniers keep that load off your back, though the extra width deserves consideration if your journeys also involve busy urban streets.
• Crash protectors and crash bars: Loaded parking manoeuvres and stops on uneven ground are familiar parts of touring. These accessories help limit damage in a stationary drop or a low-speed fall; they are a practical precaution for travel rather than a guarantee against damage.
• Footrests: Hours in the saddle make foot support worth considering alongside wind protection. If your route mixes tarmac with tracks and you occasionally ride standing up, the platform under your boots and the grip it provides become particularly relevant to your riding position.
• Phone mounts: A mounted phone can provide navigation between mountain passes, overnight stops and unfamiliar town centres. On a touring bike, a useful position keeps directions visible without obscuring the instruments. Set the route before moving off rather than adjusting it while riding.
