Accessories for the Ducati 749

Winding roads and track days are natural territory for the Ducati 749. As a sports bike, it calls for accessories that suit focused riding rather than simply adding equipment. How much time you spend on the road or circuit helps set your priorities, whether that means managing wind exposure, looking after vulnerable parts or making the controls more comfortable to use.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati 749

• Screens: wind protection matters on longer road rides as well as on circuit straights. For the 749, the useful starting point is how a screen's coverage works with your riding position, particularly when you tuck in on track.
• Protection: protectors help limit damage to the areas they cover if the bike goes down. They are worth considering for a track-day 749, but low-speed manoeuvres and parking also make them relevant to a bike ridden on the road.
• Handlebar accessories and levers: these focus on your contact with the bike and the operation of its controls. When preparing a 749 for twisting roads or circuit sessions, comfortable use of the bars, brake and clutch deserves particular attention.
• Fasteners: replacement fixings have a practical role when refreshing bodywork or carrying out maintenance. If your track-day preparation involves removing fairing panels, the 749's fasteners are part of that work, rather than just an opportunity to change the finish.
• Number plate holders: these offer a way to personalise the rear of a road-going 749. The emphasis is on how the plate is mounted and how neatly that area fits into the bike's sporting appearance.

Choosing parts for your Ducati 749's year

The Ducati 749 changed over the years, with 2003-2004 and 2005-2006 versions to keep in mind. Parts such as handlebar accessories and protectors therefore do not necessarily fit every year. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your 749.
