Accessories for the Ducati 749R

Winding roads and track days give a clear focus when choosing accessories for the Ducati 749R. This sports bike calls for attention to wind protection, control feel and protection for exposed areas. Your riding position matters too: parts should suit the way you move between sitting up for corners and tucking in along a straight.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati 749R

• Screens: help manage airflow on open roads and circuit straights. For the 749R, consider how much shelter you want when tucked behind the screen, as well as when sitting more upright during road riding.
• Levers: shape and reach affect how you operate the brake and clutch through your gloves. On twisty routes or during track sessions, where you use both controls repeatedly, a comfortable hand position deserves particular attention.
• Protectors: help limit damage to the areas they cover if the bike goes down. They are a practical consideration for a 749R used on road and track, although no protector can prevent every consequence of a slide.
• Fasteners: allow you to replace fixings and keep assemblies secure. If working on your 749R between track days involves removing parts, keeping their fasteners in good condition helps you put everything back together properly.
• Handlebar components: deserve consideration alongside the levers because hand position is central to riding a sports bike. The aim is to reach and operate the controls without awkward wrist angles when braking or changing direction.

Choosing parts for your Ducati 749R year

The Ducati 749R changed over the years, so the 2004, 2005-2006 and 2007 versions need to be considered separately. Parts such as screens, protectors and fairing components are not necessarily interchangeable between them. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your version.
