Accessories for the Ducati Monster 695

The Ducati Monster 695 is a naked bike suited to weekday journeys through town and weekend rides on winding roads. Those two uses put riding position, protection and a clear rearward view high on the list of worthwhile changes. Rather than adding equipment for its own sake, it makes sense to focus on how you sit on the bike and the conditions you regularly ride in.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati Monster 695

• Handlebars: where your hands sit affects your posture on the Monster, whether you are waiting at traffic lights or taking a series of bends. Different handlebar dimensions offer a way to adjust that position, with height and width particularly relevant when short commutes share the calendar with longer road rides.
• Protectors: exposed parts are part of the naked-bike layout, making protection a practical consideration for a regularly used Monster. Protectors can help limit damage from minor falls or mishaps while manoeuvring at a standstill, rather than being something to consider only for more demanding riding.
• Mirrors: busy urban roads make a useful view behind you particularly valuable, especially around changing lanes and approaching traffic. On the Monster, mirror placement should work with your riding position so that checking behind does not mean repeatedly shifting your shoulders out of the way.
• Suspension: winding routes and uneven road surfaces give you good reasons to pay attention to this area. Suspension components help tailor the bike’s response to those conditions. For a Monster that handles both commuting and leisure rides, road control and everyday comfort deserve consideration together.

After changing handlebars or mirrors, check that the steering moves freely to full lock in both directions and that your rearward view remains clear from your normal riding position.
