Accessories for the Ducati Multistrada 1000 DS

The Ducati Multistrada 1000 DS is a road-focused adventure bike suited to winding-road rides, longer tours and everyday journeys. Those uses call for different priorities: comfort at the bars matters when the miles build up, while protection earns its place in town as well as on a trip. If you regularly ride two-up, the pillion's experience also deserves a place in your plans.

What riders usually fit to the Ducati Multistrada 1000 DS

• Handlebars: worth considering when you want to adjust your riding position for a mix of commuting and touring. On a Multistrada used for full days on the road, the aim is a comfortable reach that still feels natural during slower urban riding.
• Protectors: useful for the knocks and scuffs that can happen when manoeuvring into parking spaces or stopping along a touring route. They help shield the areas they cover, making them relevant to a Multistrada that sees both weekday town use and weekend trips.
• Stands and stand components: help support the bike while parked or during maintenance, depending on the item. For a Multistrada covering regular touring miles, suitable support is useful when preparing for the next trip or carrying out checks between rides at home.
• Pillion accessories: a sensible focus when your Multistrada is used for shared holidays rather than mainly solo rides. Longer days make the passenger's experience more important, so it is worth considering the rear seating area alongside any changes you make around the rider's position.
