Accessories for the GasGas MC 85

The GasGas MC 85 is a motocross bike built for riding away from tarmac. On a dirt track, the way a bike deals with bumps and responds under braking shapes how confidently you can tackle corners, jumps and rough sections. That makes suspension and brakes particularly relevant when considering accessories for this model. Both come into play repeatedly during a lap, whether you are practising technique or trying to ride at a steady pace. The right area to focus on depends on what you notice most when you are riding.

What riders usually fit to the GasGas MC 85

• Suspension. Successive bumps, ruts and jump landings make a predictable response especially useful on a motocross track. Suspension accessories are worth considering when you want to work on how the MC 85 behaves over the ground you usually ride. The benefit is not limited to absorbing impacts: how the bike feels when you turn in after a rough section, then drive out of the corner, matters too. Think about the sections where you find it hardest to keep the bike settled.
• Brakes. Braking for a tight bend or a slower section is as much about control as slowing down. On a track with repeated bursts of acceleration and braking, a response you can judge helps you place the MC 85 on your chosen line. Brake accessories are therefore relevant if you want to concentrate on corner entry and maintain a flowing riding rhythm. They matter throughout a lap, not just when you need to brake hardest.

Here you can explore suspension and brake accessories from brands including Öhlins and Braking. Consider whether rough ground or braking into corners is the part of your riding you most want to address.
