Accessories for the Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 Roadster XL1200CX

The Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 Roadster XL1200CX is a sporty custom that suits everyday town riding and outings on winding roads. That mix makes riding position and a clear rearward view useful starting points when choosing accessories. Handlebars and mirrors deserve attention before purely cosmetic changes, while luggage becomes more relevant when a short weekend ride turns into a few days away.

What riders usually fit to the Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 Roadster XL1200CX

• Mirrors: Moving through town and along twisting roads calls for a useful view of following traffic. On your Roadster, mirror positioning should keep your arms from filling the reflection, so checking behind does not require you to shift your body.
• Handlebars: These help tailor the riding position on this custom. Where your hands sit affects your reach and upper-body angle, making handlebar choice particularly relevant if you combine short urban journeys with longer afternoons on country roads.
• Protectors and crash bars: A Roadster used around town may see plenty of parking and low-speed manoeuvring. These accessories can help limit damage in a stationary or low-speed drop, with the protection depending on the area each part covers.
• Luggage: Cases make sense when you take the Roadster beyond a day ride. They give clothing and overnight essentials a place away from your back, while leaving the passenger seat available rather than using it to carry your bags.

Choosing accessories for your Roadster's model year

The Roadster has changed over the years, with 2016-2018, 2019 and 2020 versions covered here. Parts do not fit every version interchangeably, and mirrors are among the accessories that change for 2020. Choose your bike's year on this page so that it shows only the accessories that fit your version.
