Accessories for HONDA CBR500 RA

Honda CBR500 RA accessories for commuting and weekend rides

The Honda CBR500 RA is a road-focused sports bike suited to everyday journeys as well as weekend rides. Accessories should reflect that balance: wind protection matters on motorway stretches, while comfortable controls and a secure footing deserve attention when your route takes you from busy streets onto winding roads. Styling need not be the only priority.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CBR500 RA

• Screens: worth considering when a favourite riding route starts with a long motorway journey. A screen helps deflect airflow, but its shape and your riding position both affect the shelter you get. Think about how you sit during those longer stretches, rather than appearance alone.
• Protectors: everyday use brings parking manoeuvres and the possibility of a stationary drop into the picture. On a sports bike used for commuting, protectors can help limit damage to the areas they cover, although they cannot prevent every mark or broken part.
• Levers: frequent clutch and brake use in town puts the emphasis on comfortable contact with your fingers. Lever shape and reach are worth attention if your CBR500 RA handles weekday traffic as well as open-road outings, where a natural feel at the controls also matters.
• Footrests: your feet need a dependable resting point through bends and during longer days on the road. The shape and contact surface of the footrests contribute to how settled you feel in your riding position, making them more than a cosmetic detail.
• Phone mounts: useful when a weekend ride takes you beyond familiar roads and you need to check directions. A mount keeps the phone supported; position it clear of the instruments and controls, and stop somewhere safe before consulting your route.

For motorway-heavy journeys, give the screen particular attention. If most of your riding is in town, comfortable controls and protection against minor mishaps are more relevant starting points.
