Accessories for the Honda DN-01

The Honda DN-01 takes a cruiser approach to riding, making it a natural fit for relaxed road outings as well as everyday journeys. That puts a comfortable riding position and looking after the bike at the heart of choosing accessories. Whether your usual ride is across town or out onto quieter roads, the way you reach the handlebars deserves attention before you change them.

What riders usually fit to the Honda DN-01

The accessories here focus on handlebars and protectors. Each addresses a different part of living with the DN-01: how you sit on it and how you care for its exposed surfaces.

• Handlebars. On a leisurely ride, reach and hand position affect how comfortably you can hold your arms over time. For road outings on the DN-01, the aim is to avoid stretching forwards or keeping tension in your shoulders. Town riding adds another consideration: you need to remain comfortable as you turn the bars through tighter manoeuvres. A position that feels pleasant in a straight line should also work when turning.
• Protectors. Using the DN-01 for everyday journeys means frequent parking and manoeuvring in confined spaces, where accidental contact can leave marks. Protectors provide a barrier over the areas they cover, helping to limit scuffs and minor knocks. This is targeted protection for the parts concerned, rather than a promise that the whole bike will be protected if it falls over.

When assessing your riding position, consider how long you normally spend in the saddle without a break, rather than just how it feels at the start.
