Accessories for the Hyosung GT650R

The Hyosung GT650R is a sports bike suited to winding-road outings as well as everyday journeys. How you divide your riding between the two helps determine what is worth fitting. Wind protection matters on longer road rides, while regular town use brings parking knocks and frequent clutch and brake operation into the picture. Styling changes serve a different purpose again.

What riders usually fit to the Hyosung GT650R

• Screens: A useful area to consider when your rides involve sustained time on open roads. On the GT650R, your riding position affects how much shelter you get from the screen, so think about where you sit on longer journeys rather than judging its shape purely by appearance.
• Protectors: These help limit damage from minor knocks or stationary drops. For a faired sports bike used during the week, that is particularly relevant when squeezing into parking spaces or manoeuvring in a garage, rather than something to consider only for spirited weekend riding.
• Levers: Town traffic means repeated clutch and brake use, making these important contact points on a GT650R that doubles as daily transport. Comfort at the controls deserves attention alongside appearance, especially when a ride combines stop-start streets with a longer stretch of country road.
• Number plate holders: A way to change the finish around the rear of the bike, where small visual details contribute to its sporting profile. This is primarily a styling choice for the GT650R, rather than an accessory aimed at wind protection or everyday riding comfort.
• Bodywork, styling and fasteners: Exterior panels play a large part in the look of this sports bike. Styling accessories let you refresh visible details, while fasteners are relevant when working on the attachment points of exterior parts removed during maintenance.

For longer road rides, start with wind protection and comfort at the controls. If most journeys involve town traffic and tight parking, give protective accessories priority over cosmetic changes.
