Accessories for the Indian FTR 1200

The Indian FTR 1200 combines flat-track-inspired styling with the character of a road-going naked. It suits winding-road outings as well as everyday journeys around town, but each use brings different priorities. Longer road sections put wind management in focus, while urban riding makes protection and the feel of the controls worth considering.

What riders usually fit to the Indian FTR 1200

• Screens: A screen helps redirect some of the airflow reaching your upper body on a naked bike. For FTR rides that involve a lengthy main-road stretch before the interesting bends begin, it is a practical addition rather than simply a styling change.
• Protectors and crash protection: If your FTR doubles as everyday transport, parking and low-speed manoeuvres are part of its routine. Protective parts can help limit damage from minor knocks or a stationary fall, making them relevant beyond spirited weekend riding.
• Levers: Moving between stop-start traffic and flowing country roads means using the controls in different rhythms. Lever shape affects how your fingers meet the controls, so this is an area to focus on when refining the FTR's hand ergonomics.
• Footrests: On a naked used for twisty-road rides, your feet are an important point of contact alongside your hands. Footrest shape and surface influence that connection, whether you spend the day enjoying a relaxed pace or taking a more active approach to corners.
• Number plate holders: A different holder can give the rear of the FTR a less cluttered appearance, in keeping with its flat-track inspiration. This is a styling-led choice for riders who want to refine the bike's silhouette rather than alter their riding position.
