Accessories for the Indian Sport Chief

The Indian Sport Chief takes a sporty approach to cruiser riding, whether you use it around town or head out onto winding roads at the weekend. That makes the rider's contact points a sensible place to focus your accessory choices. Foot support, the feel of the controls and a useful rearward view all matter when setting the bike up for the way you ride, alongside its appearance.

What riders usually fit to the Indian Sport Chief

Footpegs, levers and mirrors are the accessory choices here, including options from Puig. Each brings a different consideration to a cruiser used for both everyday journeys and leisure rides.

• Footpegs: on longer outings, where your boots rest becomes more important than it might seem during a short ride through town. Peg shape and the supporting surface influence how your feet sit on the bike. For a Sport Chief used on winding roads as well as relaxed weekend runs, think about that contact in your normal riding position rather than focusing solely on the finish.
• Levers: frequent use of the controls in urban traffic puts the relationship between your fingers and the levers into focus. Their shape matters when you are working the controls repeatedly, but comfort at the bars is relevant on open roads too. If your Sport Chief covers commuting duties and weekend miles, consider how the levers feel in both situations.
• Mirrors: these can influence the Sport Chief's look without being merely a styling detail. In town, a clear rearward view helps you keep track of surrounding traffic; on country roads, it remains part of your awareness. Consider mirror position in relation to your arms and shoulders while seated naturally, rather than judging the shape only with the bike parked.

For everyday riding, start with whichever contact point feels least comfortable. For a visual refresh, keep your usual riding posture central to the choice.
