Accessories for the Indian Sport Chief RT

The Indian Sport Chief RT is a cruiser, so time on the road is as much about your riding position as the route itself. Town traffic puts the hand controls and mirrors to regular use, while longer rides make the contact points between you and the bike more noticeable. Footpegs, levers and mirrors are therefore a practical focus when personalising this Indian.

What riders usually fit to the Indian Sport Chief RT

• Footpegs: for relaxed road rides, your feet need a stable place to rest without making it awkward to reach the controls. Around town, you are also moving a foot down at stops. On the Sport Chief RT, footpegs are worth considering as part of your overall riding position, rather than simply as a finishing detail.
• Levers: slow-moving traffic and junctions mean repeated use of the hand controls, making lever feel particularly relevant if your Sport Chief RT doubles as everyday transport. The aim is a comfortable reach and a natural hand position when operating them. That matters on the ride out of town as well as on the road home.
• Mirrors: these contribute to a cruiser's handlebar silhouette, but the view behind should remain the priority. For a Sport Chief RT used on urban roads and weekend outings, a useful rearward view matters when joining traffic or changing lanes. Mirror positioning should help you see the road behind rather than mostly your own arms.

Puig is among the accessory brands represented for this Indian. If your riding mixes commuting with longer days out, start with the contact point that feels least comfortable on your regular journey.
