Accessories for the Kawasaki ER-6n

The Kawasaki ER-6n is a naked bike suited to weekday commuting and weekend rides on winding roads. Preparing it for both means balancing everyday comfort with a riding position that feels natural on a favourite route. Wind protection, practical protection and the controls are useful places to focus.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki ER-6n

• Screens: Riding a naked bike means greater exposure to the wind once you leave town. A screen helps redirect some of that airflow, making it a useful addition when your journeys include longer main-road stretches before the more interesting roads begin.
• Protectors: Daily use brings regular parking manoeuvres and plenty of low-speed handling. Protectors are intended to limit damage to the areas they cover in a fall, making them a practical consideration for an ER-6n used throughout the working week.
• Handlebars: Bar shape influences where your arms and back sit. For an ER-6n that handles both busy streets and twisty roads, changing the handlebars is a way to tailor the riding position around more than just the occasional weekend outing.
• Levers: Stop-start traffic keeps your clutch and front brake hands busy. Lever shape and reach affect how your fingers meet the controls, so this is a particularly relevant area when commuting accounts for much of your riding.
• Number plate holders: The rear of a naked bike is visually prominent. A different holder can change the appearance of the ER-6n’s tail, addressing its styling rather than the wind exposure or comfort demands of longer journeys.

Choosing parts for your ER-6n’s year

The ER-6n has changed over the years, with 2005, 2006-2011 and 2012-2016 versions to consider. Parts such as levers, screens and number plate holders do not fit every year. Choose your bike’s year on this page so that only accessories that fit your ER-6n are shown.
