Accessories for the Kawasaki GPZ750

The Kawasaki GPZ750 is a classic sports bike suited to weekend rides and days spent enjoying winding roads. Choosing accessories for it starts with how you ride: a short run on familiar bends places different demands on your riding position from a full day out with longer stretches between them. Handlebars and protectors let you focus on two practical priorities: how you sit on the bike and how you look after its exposed areas.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki GPZ750

• Handlebars: For a GPZ750 used on longer road rides, the reach to the grips is worth considering rather than treating a replacement bar as a purely visual change. Bar shape influences where your hands sit and how far you lean forwards. A position that feels natural on a short run through bends may be less comfortable over a whole afternoon, so think about the riding you actually do and the time you spend in the saddle.
• Protectors: A classic sports bike that gets ridden regularly encounters more than open roads: parking, garage manoeuvres and everyday handling also matter. Protectors help shield the area they are designed to cover against scuffs or knocks, depending on the individual item. For a GPZ750 that you take out at weekends, they make sense as a way to care for exposed parts while continuing to use the bike, rather than simply keeping it on display.

When changing handlebars, check that the controls remain accessible and that the steering can move freely without pulling on cables or brake hoses.
