Accessories for the Kawasaki J300

The Kawasaki J300 suits everyday scooter journeys, from riding across town to commuting between neighbouring areas. Choosing useful accessories starts with the balance between those trips: busy streets put the emphasis on rearward visibility and parking security, while stretches of open road make wind protection more relevant. Where you leave your scooter matters as much as where you ride it.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki J300

• Windscreens: worth prioritising when your commute takes you beyond urban streets onto faster roads. A screen offering suitable coverage can reduce the wind reaching you, making those longer stretches more comfortable than a journey spent mostly moving between junctions and traffic lights.
• Mirrors: rearward visibility is particularly useful when joining traffic or changing lanes on a busy ride through town. On your J300, mirror positioning should give you a useful view from your normal seated posture, rather than requiring you to shift around to see behind.
• Protectors: relevant if daily parking involves wheeling the scooter through tight spaces or manoeuvring around obstacles. Depending on the area covered, they can help limit damage from minor knocks or a stationary drop, rather than leaving that part of the scooter exposed.
• Phone mounts: useful for displaying navigation when your day involves unfamiliar streets or several different destinations. For urban riding, the mounting position should leave the instruments visible and the controls unobstructed. Set your route before moving off rather than adjusting it in traffic.
• Security locks: a practical addition when the J300 stays outside your workplace or is parked on the street during errands. They add an obstacle to theft, making security worth considering for short stops as well as the hours spent away from the scooter.

For mostly urban journeys, start with visibility and parking security. If open-road commuting accounts for more of your riding, give wind protection greater priority.
