Accessories for the Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX

The Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX brings together two sides of road riding: enjoying bends and covering distance. As a sports tourer, it calls for accessories that balance comfort on longer journeys with a natural riding position on twisty roads. Your usual mix of touring, commuting and weekend rides helps determine which additions will make the most difference.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX

• Screens: wind protection becomes particularly useful when a day's ride includes long motorway stretches. Screen height and shape affect airflow around your upper body and helmet. On the Ninja, the aim is to find useful coverage without compromising your view of the road ahead.
• Protectors and crash protection: parking manoeuvres and stops along a touring route deserve consideration alongside the riding itself. These accessories help limit damage in a low-speed fall, making them relevant whether your Ninja handles the daily commute or comes out for longer trips.
• Levers: comfortable brake and clutch operation matters when a journey moves from town traffic to winding roads. Lever shape and reach influence how naturally your hands work at the controls, something worth considering when you spend several hours in the saddle.
• Footrests: foot support contributes to a relaxed touring position as well as body movement through a series of bends. For the Ninja's mixed road use, the standing surface and foot position deserve more attention than appearance alone.
• Tail tidies: a more compact-looking number plate area can emphasise the Ninja's sporting character. This is a styling change for riders who want a cleaner rear profile, rather than an addition aimed at improving comfort over long distances.

For regular touring, give wind protection and riding position priority. If your week combines commuting with weekend rides, comfortable controls and protection against low-speed mishaps are useful starting points.
