Accessories for the Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX SE

The Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX SE brings together sporty road riding and longer-distance touring. A weekend on winding roads places different demands on you from a full day covering motorway miles, so it makes sense to equip it for both. Wind protection, comfortable contact with the controls and practical protection are useful starting points, with styling details adding a more personal touch to its sporting character.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX SE

• Screens: particularly useful when a touring route includes long stretches of faster roads between the interesting bends. A different screen can alter how much wind reaches you. On this Ninja, the aim is shelter for the longer miles while retaining a clear view from your normal riding position.
• Protectors and crash protection: worth considering if your touring takes you to unfamiliar parking spots and overnight stops. These accessories help limit damage to the areas they cover in a low-speed drop, addressing a practical concern when a journey takes you a long way from home.
• Levers: your fingers spend plenty of time working the brake and clutch on twisty roads and through towns along a touring route. Replacement levers offer a way to seek a more comfortable contact with the controls, rather than treating this part of the Ninja purely as a styling detail.
• Footrests: where you support your feet matters when balancing sporting use with distance. Think about your footing through successive bends alongside the leg position you can sustain on the connecting roads. For a sports tourer, concentrating only on the most demanding corners misses half the picture.
• Number plate holders: a styling-led option for riders who want to emphasise the Ninja’s sporty rear profile. They suit a build that combines touring-focused additions with visual changes, keeping the bike’s appearance part of the project rather than focusing exclusively on comfort for longer journeys.
