Accessories for the Kawasaki Ninja 500 SE

The Kawasaki Ninja 500 SE is a sports bike suited to weekday journeys as well as weekend rides on winding roads. Those two uses call for more than cosmetic changes. Wind protection matters on faster stretches, comfortable contact with the controls helps around town, and protection for exposed parts is worth considering when your bike also faces everyday parking manoeuvres.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Ninja 500 SE

• Screens: motorway links and longer weekend outings make airflow a practical consideration on the Ninja. A screen helps manage the wind reaching your upper body, but your riding position matters: sitting upright on the commute places you differently behind it than tucking in on an open-road ride.
• Levers: regular town riding means frequent use of the clutch and front brake. Lever shape and reach affect how your hands meet the controls, so this is an area to focus on when the Ninja handles both stop-start traffic and days out on twisty roads.
• Protectors and crash bobbins: a sports bike used every day also has to be wheeled out of garages and manoeuvred into parking spaces. These accessories are intended to limit damage to the areas they protect in a stationary drop, giving your setup a practical purpose beyond appearance.
• Footrests: secure contact with your boots matters when positioning yourself through a sequence of bends. On a Ninja that doubles as a commuter, foot support and leg comfort deserve as much attention as the finish, especially when a short weekday journey becomes a longer Sunday ride.
• Number plate holders: changing the visual finish at the rear suits the Ninja 500 SE’s sporty outline. This is an option for riders who want to personalise the bike’s appearance rather than focus every change on wind protection or the points where hands and feet meet the machine.
