Accessories for the Kawasaki Versys 1100 S

The Kawasaki Versys 1100 S is a road-focused adventure tourer, well suited to weekend rides and longer journeys, whether solo or with a pillion. That kind of riding puts wind protection, comfortable contact points and practical protection high on the list. The most useful additions are those that address the parts of your journey you notice most, from a lengthy motorway stretch to tight manoeuvres at an unfamiliar overnight stop.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Versys 1100 S

• Screens: help take the wind pressure out of sustained motorway riding. On a touring-focused Versys, coverage needs to work with your height and riding position, while leaving a clear view of the road when the route turns twisty.
• Crash bars and protectors: can help limit damage in a low-speed fall. They make particular sense for touring that involves frequent stops, unfamiliar parking areas and manoeuvring with a pillion, rather than being an invitation to take this road-oriented bike off-road.
• Levers: deserve attention when your rides combine town traffic with winding mountain roads. Their shape and reach affect how comfortably you operate the controls in touring gloves, especially on days with repeated braking and clutch use.
• Footrests: give your feet a stable contact point through both long connecting stretches and bends. For road touring on the Versys, the support surface and how it works with your seated position matter more than chasing a track-focused riding stance.
• Phone mounts: keep a navigation reference within view on unfamiliar routes. For a multi-day trip, think about a position that leaves the instruments visible and does not obstruct the controls; set your destination while parked before getting underway.

If your Versys handles weekday journeys as well as holidays, prioritise the discomfort you encounter most often before adding accessories for occasional use.
