Accessories for the Kawasaki Versys 1100 SE

The Kawasaki Versys 1100 SE is a road-focused adventure tourer suited to long trips and days exploring winding roads. When your riding includes motorway stretches, mountain passes and overnight stops, wind protection, luggage space and comfort take priority over purely cosmetic changes. The most useful accessories will depend on how far you travel, what you carry and whether you regularly take a pillion.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Versys 1100 SE

For a touring setup, these accessory types address the practical demands of spending longer in the saddle:

• Screens: A screen helps deflect airflow on motorway sections, where sustained exposure matters more than it does on a brief local ride. For the Versys, consider wind protection alongside your height and normal seated riding position rather than simply looking for the tallest option.
• Luggage cases: Useful for carrying clothing and essentials on trips with overnight stops. When touring two-up, dedicated luggage space helps accommodate both riders' belongings without relying on the pillion seat to carry bags.
• Crash protection: Crash bars and protectors can help limit damage from stationary drops or low-speed falls. They are worth considering for touring use, when parking and manoeuvring at unfamiliar stops may involve handling the Versys with luggage aboard.
• Footrests: Long hours in the saddle make foot position more noticeable than on a short commute. On a road-focused Versys, footrests form part of a comfortable seated riding position while allowing you to reach and operate the controls naturally.
• Phone mounts: These keep navigation directions in view when exploring unfamiliar roads. They are particularly useful on trips with several turn-offs and planned stops, helping you follow the route without repeatedly unpacking your phone; set up navigation before moving off.

For two-up touring, plan luggage and comfort around both people. A setup that works for the rider alone may need a different balance for a shared weekend away.
