Accessories for KAWASAKI VN1500 DRIFTER

Kawasaki VN1500 Drifter accessories

Relaxed road rides and unhurried weekend outings are a natural fit for the Kawasaki VN1500 Drifter. This cruiser also lends itself to everyday journeys, so useful accessories are not just about appearance. Handlebar position, wind protection and a clear view behind all deserve attention, with different priorities depending on whether you spend most of your time in town or out on the open road.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki VN1500 Drifter

• Handlebars: On a cruiser used for leisurely miles, the reach to the grips is an important part of getting comfortable. Different handlebar heights and shapes let you adjust where your hands sit, influencing your arm and upper-body position during longer outings on the Drifter.
• Screens: A screen makes particular sense when your Drifter rides extend beyond town and onto open roads. It helps divert airflow away from your upper body, reducing wind pressure when you spend longer stretches at a steady pace rather than stopping frequently in traffic.
• Protectors: Even a gentle weekend ride involves parking and low-speed manoeuvres, sometimes with little room to spare. Protectors can help limit scuffs and damage from minor falls in the areas they cover, making them a practical addition to a Drifter used around town as well as on country roads.
• Mirrors: Cruising at a steady pace still calls for regular checks on traffic approaching from behind. Mirror choice and positioning help establish a useful rearward view around your riding posture, particularly when a handlebar change alters where your hands and arms sit.

For longer road outings, treat handlebar position and wind protection as the starting point. If everyday town riding takes priority, put more emphasis on rearward visibility and protection during parking manoeuvres.
