Accessories for the Kawasaki VN2000 Classic

The Kawasaki VN2000 Classic is a cruiser suited to unhurried road riding, from an afternoon out to a longer touring trip. Accessories make the most sense when they support that kind of use: a comfortable reach to the bars, less exposure to the wind and a clear view of following traffic. Low-speed manoeuvres and parking stops deserve attention too.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki VN2000 Classic

• Handlebars: changing the bars can alter your reach to the grips and the position of your arms. On a cruiser used for relaxed road miles, that helps you tailor your riding position while keeping steering manageable for turns and parking manoeuvres in town.
• Screens: these divert some of the airflow away from your upper body. They are particularly relevant when a VN2000 Classic outing involves motorway stretches or a full day on the road, rather than a short ride through town with frequent stops.
• Protectors: these help shield exposed areas if the bike makes contact with the ground. For a cruiser ride punctuated by village stops and scenic viewpoints, they address the less glamorous side of touring: slow manoeuvres and getting into or out of parking spaces.
• Mirrors: a useful rearward view matters when moving through town or changing lanes between stretches of open road. On the VN2000 Classic, mirrors can complement the cruiser styling while giving you a view from your normal riding position that is not dominated by your arms.

Choosing parts for your VN2000 Classic's year

The Kawasaki VN2000 Classic has changed over the years, so the 2004-2005 and 2006-2010 versions do not take all the same accessories. Screens and protectors are examples of parts that do not fit every year. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours.
