Accessories for KAWASAKI VN800 CLASSIC

Accessories for the Kawasaki VN800 Classic

The Kawasaki VN800 Classic is a cruiser suited to unhurried rides, weekend outings and taking the scenic route. Accessories make most sense here when they support a relaxed riding position rather than a sporty crouch. Handlebar reach, wind protection and a useful view behind are worth putting first, especially if your riding mixes town traffic with longer stretches on the open road.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki VN800 Classic

• Handlebars: on the VN800 Classic, the way you reach the bars is central to that relaxed cruiser feel. Consider height, width and pullback together: the aim is to keep your shoulders relaxed and your elbows comfortable, including when turning at low speed in town rather than just riding straight ahead.
• Screens: a screen is particularly useful when your rides move beyond town onto exposed roads. It helps reduce direct wind pressure on your upper body, so longer outings need not mean taking the full airflow on your chest. Balance coverage with a clear view of the road ahead.
• Protectors: for a cruiser used for regular outings, protection matters during parking manoeuvres and at roadside stops too. Protectors can help shield the areas they cover from minor knocks while moving your VN800 Classic into a parking space, though they cannot prevent every type of damage in a fall.
• Mirrors: town sections of a relaxed weekend ride still call for a clear view of following traffic. On the VN800 Classic, look for a mirror position that keeps your arms from dominating the reflection, while a suitable shape can sit comfortably with the bike's classic styling.

If most of your mileage is around town, start with riding position and rearward visibility. For longer road rides, wind protection deserves more attention alongside a handlebar position you can sustain comfortably.
