Accessories for the Kawasaki VN900 Custom

The Kawasaki VN900 Custom is a cruiser suited to unhurried road rides, weekend outings and trips around town. Setting one up is less about sporting performance and more about your riding position, wind exposure and rearward visibility. Handlebars, screens, protectors and mirrors address those everyday priorities while giving you scope to personalise the bike's custom look.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki VN900 Custom

• Handlebars: a different handlebar can change where your hands sit and how far you reach. On the VN900 Custom, consider relaxed arms on longer rides alongside a comfortable steering position when turning into a parking space or making your way through town.
• Screens: on open roads, a screen helps redirect airflow away from your upper body. It is a useful addition if your cruiser outings include longer stretches between stops, rather than mainly short urban journeys where prolonged wind exposure is less of a concern.
• Protectors: protection for exposed areas is worth considering for low-speed mishaps and knocks while parking. For a VN900 Custom used for relaxed outings, this means looking after the covered parts during everyday manoeuvres, including turning around or finding a space at a roadside stop.
• Mirrors: these can alter the look around the bars while serving a practical purpose in town and on main roads. A clear rearward view, without your arms getting in the way, matters when watching following traffic before changing lanes on your ride.
