Kawasaki W650 accessories for everyday rides and weekend outings

The Kawasaki W650 is a classic-style roadster suited to everyday journeys and unhurried rides along country roads. Equipping it means balancing that traditional appearance with the practical side of riding: managing wind on longer journeys, finding a comfortable riding position and carrying what you need for a day out. Your usual routes are a useful starting point when deciding what to fit.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki W650

• Screens: On open-road outings, a screen helps reduce the airflow reaching your upper body. If your W650 spends more time on country roads than making short urban hops, wind protection can be a more worthwhile addition than a purely cosmetic change.
• Protectors: Regular commuting and weekend outings both involve parking, low-speed manoeuvres and roadside stops. Protectors help limit damage to the areas they cover if the bike tips over, making them a practical consideration for a W650 that sees frequent use rather than occasional rides.
• Handlebars: Handlebar choice affects where your arms and upper body sit. For a W650 used around town and on winding roads, a comfortable reach and natural steering input deserve priority over achieving a particular retro look at the expense of control.
• Mirrors: Mirrors contribute to the W650’s classic appearance, but their everyday role matters most in urban traffic. A clear rearward view and a position that does not require an awkward shift in posture help keep the focus on the road ahead.
• Luggage: When a short ride becomes a full day away, luggage gives you somewhere to carry clothing and other essentials without relying on a backpack. It also makes sense for a W650 used for commuting, where carrying work items is part of the daily routine.
