Accessories for the Kawasaki Z650RS

The Kawasaki Z650RS brings retro styling to the naked bike format, making appearance part of the decision when choosing accessories. Town riding, winding roads and weekends away each call for a slightly different approach. The useful starting point is how you spend your time on the bike: extra wind protection matters on open roads, while luggage earns its place when commuting or staying overnight.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Z650RS

• Screens: worth considering when your Z650RS regularly leaves town for longer stretches of open road. A smaller screen keeps the retro front end visually prominent, while a taller option puts more emphasis on shelter from the wind during sustained road riding.
• Crash bungs and bars: can help limit damage in some stationary drops or low-speed falls. They make particular sense for a daily urban bike that is frequently wheeled into parking spaces or manoeuvred at walking pace, rather than being reserved for occasional Sunday rides.
• Handlebars and levers: offer ways to tailor hand position and control operation. For a Z650RS used in traffic as well as on twisty roads, a comfortable riding position and a natural reach to the controls are more relevant than pursuing a track-focused setup.
• Mirrors and number plate holders: help shape the bike's retro look without making luggage or weather protection the focus. Mirrors affect both the outline around the bars and your rearward view in town, while a different plate holder changes the presentation of the rear end.
• Panniers and cases: add useful carrying space for work essentials or an overnight stop. Think about what you actually take on your usual Z650RS rides before building a luggage setup around a longer holiday that only happens occasionally.

For a mix of commuting and leisure riding, comfort and protection are sensible first priorities. Styling changes can follow once the bike suits your everyday journeys.
