Accessories for the Kawasaki Z900RS CAFE

The Kawasaki Z900RS CAFE brings café racer styling to weekend outings, winding-road rides and everyday journeys. Choosing accessories for it means balancing that classic look with the practical demands of your riding. A regular commute puts the focus on controls and protection, while longer days out make wind protection and riding position more relevant.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Z900RS CAFE

• Screens: A useful addition when reaching your favourite bends involves a stretch of dual carriageway. A screen helps take some wind pressure off your body on those faster sections, while its shape plays a noticeable part in the bike’s café racer appearance.
• Handlebars and levers: These help shape your relationship with the controls, particularly when mixing town traffic with open-road riding. Wrist position and a comfortable reach matter during repeated clutch and brake use, so handlebars deserve consideration beyond their contribution to the retro look.
• Footrests: They provide your footing as you move with the bike through a series of bends. On a longer Sunday ride, their position also affects how your knees sit, making them part of the riding-position setup rather than simply a finishing detail.
• Protectors and crash bars: Daily parking and low-speed manoeuvres give crash protection a role beyond sporty riding. These accessories can help limit damage in a stationary drop or low-speed fall, with visual discretion worth considering on a bike whose appeal includes its classic styling.
• Mirrors and number plate holders: Mirrors influence the bike’s outline, while a different number plate holder can tidy the appearance of the rear. For a Z900RS CAFE used around town, keeping a useful view of following traffic should take priority over choosing mirrors purely for their shape.
