Accessories for the Kawasaki ZX-9R

The Kawasaki ZX-9R is a sports bike for winding roads, whether you head out for a short ride through the bends or spend the day covering longer distances. Wind protection, comfort at the controls and protection for exposed parts are useful starting points. Your priorities will depend on the balance between spirited road riding, longer journeys and occasional time on track.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki ZX-9R

• Screens: Airflow matters both when you tuck down towards the tank and when you sit up between corners. On longer ZX-9R road rides, the screen's role in managing wind around your upper body and helmet becomes particularly relevant.
• Levers: Brake and clutch levers are frequent points of contact on a twisting road. Replacing worn or damaged levers refreshes these controls, while a comfortable reach matters when repeated braking and gear changes are part of your ride.
• Protectors: A stationary drop can damage a sports bike's fairing and other exposed areas. Protectors are intended to limit damage to the parts they cover, making them worth considering for road use as well as track days.
• Handlebar accessories: Hand position affects how you support your upper body on the ZX-9R. This area deserves attention when refining the riding position, particularly if your usual outing involves several hours on the road rather than a brief run through the bends.
• Fasteners: Fairing removal and refitting make fasteners a practical consideration during maintenance on a sports bike. Replacing deteriorated fixings helps you look after the assembly and appearance of a ZX-9R that still sees regular road use.

Choosing parts for your ZX-9R's year

The ZX-9R changed over the years, so the 1994-1997, 1998-1999 and 2000-2003 versions do not always take the same accessories. Levers, protectors and screens are examples of parts that are not interchangeable across all those years. Choose your bike's year on this page to display only the accessories that fit your version.
