Accessories for the Kawasaki ZZR600

The Kawasaki ZZR600 is a road-going sports bike that also lends itself to touring. Weekend rides, commuting and longer trips place different demands on its accessories: wind protection matters on motorway stretches, while luggage becomes useful when a day out turns into a few nights away. A sensible setup reflects how you use the bike, rather than focusing purely on appearance.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki ZZR600

• Screens: A screen helps direct airflow away from your upper body. For a ZZR600 covering longer distances, wind protection deserves attention on exposed roads and motorways, with your riding position influencing how much shelter you get behind it.
• Handlebars and levers: These accessories let you tailor the control area. On a sports-oriented bike such as the ZZR600, hand position and lever reach matter both when working the clutch through town and when spending several hours riding winding roads.
• Protectors: These help reduce damage to the areas they cover during minor mishaps. They are a practical consideration for a ZZR600 used every day, or on touring trips where frequent parking stops mean more low-speed manoeuvring.
• Mirrors: A useful rearward view matters when moving between urban traffic, open roads and motorway lanes. On the ZZR600, mirror positioning relative to your arms is worth considering so that your sporting riding posture does not get in the way of checking behind.
• Luggage: Cases provide room for overnight essentials without relying solely on a rucksack. They suit the touring side of ZZR600 ownership, particularly when riding with a pillion and carrying belongings for two rather than just packing for a solo afternoon out.

For regular touring, put wind protection and carrying space first. If your ZZR600 mainly handles shorter rides and commuting, focus on comfortable access to the controls and protection during everyday parking manoeuvres.
