Accessories for the KTM 1190 RC8

The KTM 1190 RC8 is a sports bike suited to twisty roads and track days. Accessories for that kind of riding have clear priorities: managing airflow, making the controls comfortable to use and helping protect vulnerable areas if the bike goes down. For a road-going RC8, the finish and appearance of the bike can matter alongside those practical considerations.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 1190 RC8

• Screens: Wind protection becomes particularly useful on faster roads and along circuit straights. On the RC8, screen height and profile need to work with a sporty riding position, including the lower tuck you adopt over the tank on track.
• Protectors and crash bungs: These can help limit damage from a fall or slide, making them a sensible priority for track-day use. They also have a practical role on a road-going RC8, where protecting exposed areas matters just as much.
• Levers: Braking and clutch operation demand repeated finger movements when linking bends together. Lever shape is therefore worth considering on this sports bike, particularly how it feels under your fingers while wearing your usual riding gloves.
• Fasteners: On a faired sports bike, fixings contribute to both maintenance and the visible finish. They deserve attention if you regularly remove bodywork to work on your RC8 between track days, rather than being treated purely as a styling detail.
• Number plate holders: These alter how the plate sits within the bike's rear-end styling. They are mainly a finishing choice for an RC8 used on the road, rather than a priority for a bike prepared exclusively for circuit riding.

Choosing parts for the 2008 and 2009-2010 versions

The KTM 1190 RC8 has changed over the years, so the 2008 and 2009-2010 versions do not necessarily take the same accessories. Handlebar components and stands are two areas where parts can differ. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your RC8.
