Accessories for the KTM 1190 RC8 R

Winding roads and track days are natural territory for the KTM 1190 RC8 R. With a sports bike like this, useful accessories address wind protection, the way your hands meet the controls and protection in a fall. Those priorities provide a starting point for choosing what to fit, alongside the maintenance that comes with regular road rides and circuit sessions.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 1190 RC8 R

• Screens: A screen helps direct airflow away from you on open roads and circuit straights. For the RC8 R, its coverage needs to make sense with your riding position, including when you tuck down over the tank.
• Protectors and crash protection: These help limit damage to the areas they cover if the bike goes down. They are worth considering for a road-going RC8 R as well as one that regularly heads into the paddock.
• Levers: Brake and clutch levers deserve attention when a ride involves repeated braking points and gear changes. They are part of tailoring the controls to your hands, with comfortable operation particularly relevant in a sports riding position.
• Fasteners: Removing fairing panels for maintenance makes their fixings an important detail. Replacement fasteners let you address missing or damaged screws while keeping the bodywork secured and the finish of this faired sports bike tidy.
• Stands: Time between road rides or track sessions often includes preparation and maintenance. Suitable support for the bike serves a practical purpose in the garage or paddock, making this category about upkeep rather than changing its appearance.

Choosing parts for the 2009-2014 and 2015 versions

The KTM 1190 RC8 R has changed over the years, so parts for the 2009-2014 versions should not automatically be treated as suitable for the 2015 bike. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours, rather than relying on the model name alone.
