Accessories for the KTM 950 Supermoto

The KTM 950 Supermoto brings a supermoto approach to road riding, with winding routes a natural setting for its sporting character. Accessories should reflect that use: your riding position, support through your feet and protection against a fall all deserve attention. If your bike also handles the commute or an overnight trip, carrying your belongings becomes part of the setup rather than an afterthought.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 950 Supermoto

• Handlebars: hand position matters both when linking bends and when working through stop-start traffic. Bar shape and dimensions affect your reach and upper-body position, so a road-focused Supermoto setup should account for the ride to your favourite roads as well as the corners themselves.
• Protectors: useful for a Supermoto ridden throughout the week, not just on Sunday outings. They can help limit damage from a fall, including less dramatic situations such as low-speed manoeuvres or a parking mishap, rather than serving only a sporting purpose.
• Foot pegs: your feet provide support as you brake, change direction and reposition yourself on a twisting road. Peg surface and position influence that contact with the bike, while the resulting leg position also matters on longer stretches between the more engaging roads.
• Luggage: worth considering when a day ride becomes an overnight escape, or when you need to carry belongings to work. Start with what those journeys actually involve: packing for one night away is a different task from transporting your everyday commuting essentials.

Think beyond the most enjoyable stretch of road. Time spent getting there, stops along the way and anything you need to carry should all inform your setup.
