Accessories for the Kymco Downtown 300i ABS

The Kymco Downtown 300i ABS is a scooter suited to everyday journeys around town and commutes that include faster roads. That mix of riding puts the focus on wind protection, a comfortable riding position and practical details for frequent stops. What makes sense to fit depends on whether most of your journey involves busy streets or longer stretches away from town.

What riders usually fit to the Kymco Downtown 300i ABS

• Windscreens: For a Downtown commute that takes you onto open roads, a screen helps reduce your exposure to the wind. Its height and shape become more important when your regular journey involves sustained riding rather than short hops between local stops.
• Handlebars: Handlebar options are worth considering if you want to rethink your riding position for the daily commute. On the Downtown, the aim is a comfortable arm position while retaining easy steering for tight turns, slow manoeuvres and getting into parking spaces.
• Mirrors: Busy streets make a useful rearward view a priority, particularly before changing lanes or leaving a roundabout. For an urban Downtown, focus on what you can see from your normal seated position rather than choosing a different mirror shape for looks alone.
• Phone mounts: A mount is useful when your usual commute gives way to an unfamiliar address across town. It keeps navigation visible on the Downtown, with positioning that leaves the handlebars free to move and does not block your view of the road.
• Locks: Leaving your Downtown outside work or parking it during errands makes additional security a sensible consideration. With repeated stops throughout the day, ease of use matters: a practical lock is easier to make part of your routine whenever you park.
