Accessories for the Suzuki GSX-R1100

The Suzuki GSX-R1100 is a road-going sports bike, so riding position and the way it responds on a twisting road are natural starting points when choosing accessories. Whether yours comes out for weekend rides or covers longer distances, it makes sense to focus on the controls, protection and suspension, alongside looking after it between outings.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki GSX-R1100

• Handlebar accessories: The controls are central to how you sit on a sports bike and support your upper body. For a GSX-R1100 used on winding roads as well as longer rides, this is an area worth considering if your hand position leaves your wrists feeling strained.
• Protectors: On a faired sports bike, protection is worth considering to help limit damage from a fall or a scrape while manoeuvring. That matters not just during a ride, but also when moving your GSX-R1100 around a tight garage before heading out.
• Suspension: A useful focus for the way the bike settles into bends and deals with uneven road surfaces. For road riding, the aim is controlled support without making a longer day in the saddle unnecessarily tiring; outright firmness is not the only consideration.
• Covers and blankets: Storage protection earns its place when your GSX-R1100 is mainly a weekend bike. A cover helps keep it sheltered between rides, particularly when it spends several days in the garage and keeping dust off matters more than daily convenience.

Choosing parts for 1986-1990 and 1991-1997 models

The GSX-R1100 has changed over the years, so the 1986-1990 and 1991-1997 versions do not share every accessory. Handlebar parts and protectors are two examples that cannot be treated as interchangeable across both. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the parts that fit your GSX-R1100.
