Accessories for SUZUKI GSX600 FU

Suzuki GSX600 FU accessories for everyday riding

How you use your Suzuki GSX600 FU is a useful starting point for deciding what to fit. Regular journeys through town put the emphasis on manoeuvring and looking after the bike around parking spaces; longer road rides bring your riding position into focus. For the 1988–1997 GSX600 FU, the available accessories are handlebars and protectors, with Puig among the brands listed. These address different parts of that everyday riding routine.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki GSX600 FU

• Handlebars. On a GSX600 FU used for commuting as well as weekend rides, the relationship between your hands, shoulders and upper body matters. Handlebar shape influences your reach to the grips, how far apart your arms sit and how much you lean towards the controls. A different bar can help you address a cramped or stretched riding position. That is particularly relevant when you spend longer periods on the road, rather than just making short trips across town.
• Protectors. Town riding also means wheeling the bike into parking spaces, turning it around at a standstill and negotiating tight gaps when parking. Protectors are intended to shield the areas they cover from rubbing or contact, depending on the individual design. For a GSX600 FU used mainly for road outings, that purpose still matters at stops: squeezing into a parking spot can expose the bike to knocks even when the ride itself is over.

For mostly urban use, parking knocks may be your priority; for longer outings, consider where your riding position starts to feel tiring.
