Accessories for the Suzuki M1500 Intruder

The Suzuki M1500 Intruder is a cruiser suited to relaxed road riding, from an evening run to a weekend outing. Accessories for this kind of riding need to work with your seated position as well as the bike's appearance. Handlebars and mirrors are natural starting points, while protectors and covers address parking manoeuvres and the time between rides.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki M1500 Intruder

• Handlebars: On a cruiser such as the Intruder, the reach to the grips shapes how you sit and hold your shoulders. Bar height and shape matter on leisurely road rides, where you spend longer in one position, as well as when steering through town traffic.
• Mirrors: A clear rearward view is useful when your ride takes you from urban junctions onto open roads. On the M1500 Intruder, mirror placement needs to work with the handlebars and your normal riding position, rather than being chosen purely to complete the cruiser look.
• Protectors: Parking up at a café or turning in a tight space is part of a weekend ride too. Protectors can help limit direct ground contact with the areas they shield in a stationary tip-over, making them a practical addition when you want to preserve your cruiser's finish.
• Covers and blankets: Not every Intruder is used for the daily commute. If yours comes out mainly for leisurely weekend rides, covering it helps keep dirt off while it is parked between outings. Protection during those idle days therefore deserves attention alongside changes you notice on the road.

Treat a handlebar and mirror change as one decision: moving your hands can change your seated position and where the mirrors need to sit for a useful view behind.
