Accessories for the Suzuki VZ 800 Marauder

The Suzuki VZ 800 Marauder is a cruiser suited to leisurely road rides, weekend outings and trips around town. Those uses put the emphasis on your riding position and exposure to the wind rather than a sporting setup. Handlebars and screens therefore deserve particular attention, depending on whether your usual ride involves urban streets or longer stretches of open road.

What riders usually fit to the Suzuki VZ 800 Marauder

• Handlebars: help shape the riding position as well as the Marauder’s custom look. For relaxed afternoons on country roads, the reach to the controls and the position of your arms matter more than appearance alone. Think about the posture you want to maintain throughout the ride.
• Screens: are useful when a weekend run includes faster connecting roads or extended riding in the open. They help reduce wind exposure, while their size and shape influence the front-end appearance. On this cruiser, that makes coverage and styling two considerations to weigh together.
• Mirrors: contribute to the custom styling while serving a practical purpose on everyday journeys. If your Marauder regularly takes you through town, a useful rearward view matters when joining traffic or changing lanes, rather than choosing a shape purely for its looks.
• Protectors: help shield the areas they cover from minor knocks. They are worth considering for a Marauder used regularly in town, where parking, frequent stops and low-speed manoeuvres are part of the routine rather than an occasional feature of a weekend ride.

Choosing parts for your Marauder’s year

The Marauder has changed over the years, with 1996-2000, 2001 and 2002-2003 versions to distinguish. Handlebars are among the parts that differ for 2002-2003, so they should not be assumed to fit every year. Choose your bike’s year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your version.
