Accessories for the Yamaha FZ6 Fazer S2

The Yamaha FZ6 Fazer S2 suits riders who want one road bike for the weekday commute, a winding weekend route and longer touring days. Its sports-touring character makes wind protection, comfortable contact with the controls and protection against low-speed mishaps sensible priorities. The right balance depends on whether most of your miles involve town traffic or the open road.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha FZ6 Fazer S2

• Screens: worth considering when your Fazer S2 regularly covers motorway miles between more interesting roads. A screen helps redirect airflow, while its shape and height influence the shelter you get in your normal riding position, particularly over longer distances.
• Levers: repeated clutch and brake use in stop-start traffic makes the way a lever sits against your fingers particularly relevant. On weekend rides, that same contact matters when making measured control inputs through a succession of bends.
• Crash protectors and bars: designed to help limit damage to particular areas in a fall, especially at low speed. They make sense on a daily-use Fazer S2 that sees frequent parking manoeuvres, tight spaces and stops during the commute.
• Footrests: provide the support your feet need when moving through bends or settling into a steady position for a longer journey. Their shape and surface affect that contact, making them relevant to the Fazer’s mix of everyday riding and touring.
• Phone mounts: useful when the same bike takes you across town during the week and along unfamiliar roads at the weekend. They keep the phone secured for navigation; set your route before leaving and stop somewhere safe to make changes.

For a town-focused setup, prioritise the controls and low-speed protection. If longer road trips dominate, give the screen and your contact points with the bike more attention.
