Accessories for the Yamaha Vity 125

The Yamaha Vity 125 is an urban scooter suited to commuting, running errands and getting across town. Those everyday jobs shape which accessories make a useful addition: wind protection for exposed roads, a secure place for your phone and security when you park. Rather than preparing it for long-distance touring, the focus is on making regular journeys more comfortable and looking after the scooter between rides.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha Vity 125

• Windscreens: help divert airflow away from your body, particularly when your commute takes you along open roads rather than sheltered side streets. For a Vity ridden throughout the year, this can be a worthwhile comfort upgrade even when the overall journey is fairly short.
• Handlebar accessories: stop-start traffic means frequent braking, accelerating and low-speed steering. The handlebar area deserves attention because hand position and comfortable access to the controls matter when your daily ride involves repeated junctions, traffic lights and parking manoeuvres.
• Phone mounts: keep your phone secured and visible when navigating to an unfamiliar address. They are useful for errands that take you through different neighbourhoods; set your route before leaving and stop somewhere safe before making any changes on screen.
• Security locks: are particularly relevant when the Vity spends the working day parked on the street. If you use it for several short trips, locking it should also be part of each brief stop, not just something reserved for overnight parking.
• Protectors: can help shield the areas they cover from minor knocks. This is useful on a daily urban scooter that regularly squeezes into tight parking spaces or needs to be manoeuvred alongside other parked bikes.

For an exposed commute, wind protection is a sensible starting point. Frequent roadside stops make a dependable locking routine just as important.
