Accessories for YAMAHA WR450F

Yamaha WR450F accessories for enduro riding

The Yamaha WR450F is an enduro bike suited to riding away from the tarmac, where uneven ground, slower technical sections and standing on the pegs shape your day. Accessories should reflect that use: protection against scrapes, comfortable access to the controls and a useful rearward view when your route includes road sections. The priorities come from the terrain you ride, rather than distance alone.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha WR450F

• Mirrors. Road sections between trails make a rearward view important for keeping track of following traffic. On the WR450F, mirror positioning also needs to account for the way you move off-road. Aim for a useful view from your seated road-riding position without placing the mirrors where they get in the way as you stand up and shift your body over uneven ground.
• Protection. Narrow trails and awkward, low-speed sections bring the possibility of scrapes and minor knocks. Protectors make sense on an enduro bike because they help shield the areas they cover during this kind of riding. For your WR450F, think about the exposed areas most likely to encounter obstacles on your usual routes, rather than treating protection as something reserved for long outings.
• Levers. Technical terrain calls for frequent brake and clutch inputs as you manage your progress through slower sections. Comfortable operation matters on the WR450F when you alternate between sitting and standing, not just when you try the controls at a standstill. Consider how easily you can reach and operate the levers in your enduro gloves while adopting the positions you use on the trails.
